American Wineries LIOCO

This Week’s Tasting

Tasting: Thursday, March 31, 5:30-7:30

Dear Tasters and Friends of Spirits,
I’m sure that many of you are aware that I am pregnant with our first child- baby is due in just a few weeks. We do not yet know if it’s a boy or girl (“Cabernet” or “Chardonnay”), but we will know very soon!
In light of the big changes ahead in our personal and business lives, Matthew and I have decided that we will take a temporary break from the weekly tastings. Tomorrow night’s tasting will be the last one until further notice. Thank you for understanding!

This week’s tasting features a selection of four Spanish wines and two California wines. The Spanish wines include a white, sparkling rose, and two reds imported by Grapes of Spain, and the California wines are both reds, produced by one of our favorite American wineries LIOCO.
From Spain we will sample an Albarino (white), Cava rose (sparkling), Rioja (Tempranillo), and Cabernet Sauvignon, and from LIOCO a Pinot Noir (brand new release) from Anderson Valley, and red Rhone-style blend called Indica.
The specific wines for the tasting are:
Conde de Subirats Cava Rose nv- Penedes, Spain
Mar de Vinas Albarino 2014- Rais Baixas, Spain
Bodegas San Pedro Apostol Campellares Rioja 2014- Rioja, Spain
Vina Casa L’Angel Cabernet Sauvignon 2012- Valencia, Spain
LIOCO Pinot Noir La Selva 2014- Anderson Valley, California
LIOCO Indica 2013- Mendocino County, California
We hope you will join us for a fantastic line-up tomorrow night!
Sincerely,
Jennifer & Matthew
