Tom’s Tips II
When in April and the showers and drafts of March are forgotten the roots and buds are bathed in such sweet liqueur. The small fowls make melody as folks long for the links and decks of small craft and back yards. Then good pilgrims sojourn to Spirits to select the tawny weed choice and celebrate the fruits of Spring.
And along the way you will encounter… no please, that’s enough.*
*With copious apologies to Geoffrey Chaucer.
It’s still a might airish out so I’ve selected three superb coronas so submit for your approval. With maximum flavor, minimum windchill, this dandy size will whet your appetite for summertime longevity.
The Ashton corona at 46 X 5 1/2 is mild and friendly to all.
Next is the Joya de Nicaragua Cabinetta Series No. 11 (46 X 5 1/4) corona gorda puro. Made in Esteli with three Nicaraguan factors, this parejo (light and dark wrapper) will satisfy the medium-body smoker.
And lastly, the Montecristo White Series Especial #3 (44 X 5 1/2). This rich, smooth Dominican is med- to full-strength with a zesty dash of pepper to compliment your single malt.
These cigars, fair traveler, can be yours for the paltry sums found in the bottom of your purse.
Spirits, up the river and on your way to vernal rejuvenation.
Toast it first, Tom
