Thanksgiving Dinner is a wine-friendly meal from appetizer(s) to entree(s), side dishes, to dessert(s). Try some of these “traditional” pairings:
Beaujolais– Cranberry Sauce, Roasted Turkey, Berry Pies, Cold Cuts (leftovers!)
Gewurztraminer– Stuffing, Tropical Fruit Salad, Ham, Vegetables, Duck, Squash Casserole, Dishes with Cinnamon
Pinot Noir– Roasted Chicken, Duck or Turkey (Quail or game birds too), Stuffing and Dressing, Roasted Root Vegetables
Tawny Port– Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Candied/Seasoned Nuts
(sweet), Chocolate
Rose– Aperitif with Salad, Pate, or hard Cheese, Poultry, Herbed Stuffing, Vegetables, TURKEY!
Sauvignon Blanc– Collard Greens, Roasted Poultry, Herbed Dishes like Oyster Stuffing, Gravy, Garlic-y food
Sparkling Wine– Deviled Eggs, Salty dishes, Hors d’oeuvres, Fried Turkey, Dessert
Zinfandel– Grilled Poultry, Roasted Game such as Rabbit or Venison, Spicy Dishes, Berries and Berry Sauces
