Summer Seasonal Beers generally include wheat beers, fruit-infused wheat beers, and pilsners. These styles usually have low to medium hop bitterness, light flavors, and a clean, thirst-quenching quality that makes them ideal for summer consumption.

Barley wines are extra-strong ales (8-12% alcohol) that originated in England and are often aged up to 18 months. They offer a velvety texture, full-flavor, and a fruity/smoky palate.

Bock beers are of German origin (or made in a German style) and includes Maibock and Dopplebock. They are golden, tawny, or dark brown in color and traditionally are sweet, relatively strong, and lightly hopped lagers.

Wheat beer is a style that is brewed with a significant amount of wheat. Many also contain a considerable proportion of malted barley. The two main varieties are weissbier (including hefeweizen) and witbier; sour varieties such as lambic are also part of the wheat beer family.

Pilsner or pils is a type of pale lager that takes its name from the city of Pilsen, Bohemia, in the Czech Republic. They tend to be dry, lean, clean and crisp. A pilsner is generally different from other pale lagers due to its more prominent hop character; however the term is also used by some brewers to indicate their “premium” lager beer, regardless of if it has a particular hop character.
